Description

Rabbi Jeffrey Falick of Birmingham Temple will speak about his and other congregations' responses to the unjust and immoral immigration policies of the current administration. He will talk about why this is of particular urgency to his own Jewish community, why this should be of primary concern to all Americans, and how we can work together to make a difference.

Providing context and perspective, Melanie Goldberg, a specialist in immigration law, will share some background about modern U.S. immigration legislation and policies, why change has been so difficult, and how the laws have evolved over the past several decades.
