EMU Holiday Baby Shower
On Wednesday, December 4, students from the Eastern Michigan University School of Nursing will host a Holiday Baby Shower event to benefit the Corner Health Center, a health center in Ypsilanti that provides health care, mental health and supportive services for young people all across Southeastern Michigan ages 12-25. The Holiday Baby Shower will be hosted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in EMU’s Marshall Building atrium, located at 801 W Circle Dr #831 in Ypsilanti.
During the event, guests are invited to bring new baby items or monetary donations to the EMU Marshall Building atrium. The donations will be given to the Corner Health Center store to benefit its patients and those in need of resources. Items that the Corner Health Center store is in need of include infant clothing, sleep sacks, swaddle blankets, winter coats, board books, infant carriers, diaper bags, baby bottles, pacifiers, rattles/toys, baby hygiene products, and more.
In addition to dropping off donations, the Corner Health Center volunteer doulas, Katie Bolling and Allie Giniel, will be on-site for the day to provide snacks and informational materials about the center, as well as to answer any questions guests might have.
Those that want to donate but are unable to attend the baby shower can purchase products or donate to a diaper fund on the Corner Health Center Amazon baby registry.
