Please join your neighbors for a guided town hall conversation about Michigan's waters and the economic activity they make possible. During this meeting, you will be able to share what your priorities are, and how Michigan should approach growing our economy while caring for our water. This event is in partnership with the nonprofit, nonpartisan Center for Michigan (www.BridgeMI.com/YourWater) as part of its statewide YOUR WATER, YOUR VOICE campaign which aims to gather resident input for its CITIZEN'S WATER AGENDA. This report will be delivered to every elected state leader. Please join us and have YOUR voice be heard. Meeting is co-sponsored by AAUW-Dearborn. Light refreshments.

The League of Women Voters Dearborn-Dearborn Heights and the American Association of University Women – Dearborn will be presenting a Michigan Truth Tour stop in Dearborn on Saturday, October 20th at Christ Episcopal Church. The public is welcome to attend this free community event scheduled from 10:00 – 11:30 am. The Michigan Truth Tour is a project of The Center for Michigan and Bridge Magazine whose mission is to inform Michigan citizens through fact-based, non-partisan journalism that identifies critical issues and helps citizens navigate the challenges of our civic life. The Truth Tour stop will include a screening of the documentary "Michigan Divided" and a follow up discussion. Filmed in 2017, the film chronicles the lives of Michigan voters across the political, socioeconomic, and racial lines. From the Upper Peninsula, to Lansing, to Flint, Detroit, Grand Rapids and Jackson, the resulting, hour-long “Michigan Divided” documentary captures our deeply divided culture, but also brings partisans together and illustrates how, at heart, there are also some values that are shared.
