School Board in exile ABRAHAM AIYASH - Yemeni American community organizer and educator RAMSEY HUSSAIN - Musician, Activist, Board member of OneHamtramck The white power structure endemic to America since it’s beginning days has afforded privilege to white-skinned people. Structural racism has been the result, with laws and institutions favoring the ruling white class and discriminating against people of color. Slavery and the annihilation of indigenous people was all legal. Our panelists will address these concepts, discrimination, colorblindness and other loaded terms, offering ways to overcome this systemic injustice. Book signing included at the end of the event. Yemeni journalist: Latifa Ali An expert in economics and many political events, she is a reporter,human rights community activist, and a member of several charitable and a member of several charitable and nonprofit organizations.
