Scary Nuclear Stories as told by anti-nuclear activist and safe-energy advocate Chris Williams, Nuclear Information and Resource Service board chair and former Director of Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana : Hospitality at 4 pm : Teach In at 6 pm : Slide Show at 7 pm Chris Williams comes to Monroe, Michigan straight from the People's Climate March. Over 400,000 hit the streets of New York on September 21st, a day that could make the history books. Chris is on a grassroots campaign for the upcoming battles against dirty, aging and uneconomic nuclear reactors of the 20th century that threaten to hold back deployment of clean energy technologies. Chris Williams is a long time sustainable energy policy activist. He is currently organizer for the Vermont Citizens Action Network, a grassroots organization working to close the Vermont Yankee nuclear station and replace it with sustainable energy generation. Chris has a 25 year history working with public interest organizations, and 18 years as executive director for Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana a consumer and environmental advocacy organization. Chris has extensive experience in public education campaigns concerning public utility regulation, energy policy and environmental policy.
